Wren hasn’t felt like she’s truly living her own life since her cousin went missing. So when a mysterious stranger offers to bring her cousin home, she jumps at the chance. Which is how she finds herself in another world, with no way home and locked into a magical contract with a man who claims to be Rumpelstiltskin.

 

Kamal has been indebted to Rumpelstiltskin for years now, and the only thing he wants is to get home to the family he was ripped away from after signing his own contract. He knows being alone is the best way to survive, but Wren worms her way past his defences and shows him that he was never as alone as he thought he was.

 

A secretive entity that only goes by the name Janus is breaking Rumpelstiltskin‘s contracts and destabilising his magic. The price is too high for Kamal to get his own contract broken, but Rumpelstiltskin offers him the one thing he wants if he can catch Janus.
